Job Description
The Operations Strategy Specialist functions at a tactical and operational level, supporting projects that impact restaurant operations such as deployment, scheduling, throughput, restaurant efficiency, and performance measures. This role also provides operational and analytical support for staffing, deployment, and reporting initiatives while partnering cross-functionally to improve processes, optimize labor deployment, and support leadership-decision making. Additionally, the position contributes to the development, evolution, and review of deployment tools and training resources.
Your Impact and Responsibilities:
Manage and process Manager Position Requests from initiation through approval
Coordinate staffing and scheduling for new restaurant openings, ensuring readiness and compliance with timelines
Analyze Fair Work Week market data to identify opportunities for improved deployment efficiency
Produce and distribute weekly operational and staffing reports to leadership
Serve as a subject matter expert for restaurant operations, supporting leadership and crew with questions, processes, and staffing-related issues
Collaborate cross-functionally to create systems and tools that ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Assist with providing restaurants labor targets, par, and organizational methods
Maintain knowledge of labor tools and their integration to provide operator guidance and support
Assist in developing and maintaining labor management tools
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Experience in the QSR or retail industry
Experience managing processes across multiple markets or locations
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data validation) for tracking and reporting
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, restaurant crew, and leaders
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Familiarity with Fair Work Week regulations and labor compliance requirements
Experience supporting new location openings in a multi-unit or restaurant environment
Knowledge of staffing workflows
Background in operational reporting and data analysis
