Job Description
The Applications Administrator is responsible for the administration and daily operation of Workday and related crew systems. This role partners closely with business leaders, IT teams, and vendors to design, implement, and maintain solutions that improve operation efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks. The administrator participates in all phases of the Workday system lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, deployment, support, and ongoing enhancements.
Your Impact and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Workday product specialist, collaborating with business stakeholders and vendors to deliver scalable, high-quality standards
- Gather and analyze business requirements to design functional and technical specifications that align with organizational needs
- Configure Workday modules, dashboards, workflows, and reports to support HR, payroll, and talent management processes
- Manage Workday system upgrades and releases, evaluating new features and recommending enhancements
- Troubleshoot system issues, perform root-cause analyses, and implement timely resolutions to minimize business disruption
- Lead testing efforts for new configurations, integrations, and system changes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with requirements
- Provide end-user support and training, promoting adoption and best practices across the organization
- Maintain system documentation, including configuration guides, process flows, and technical reference materials
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience with Workday product knowledge, configuration, and production support
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities
- Self-driven and flexible with strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Able to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in restaurant or retail IT environments
- Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) and Benefits technical certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
