Job Description
The Social Creative Director is responsible for elevating the brand’s already active social presence to enhance brand affinity by taking a strategic and hands-on approach to creative social media content across all brand social platforms. This role requires someone with a specialized focus on social media content creation and recent experience at a top-tier brand or agency. The Social Creative Director’s mission is to create social content that makes people stop scrolling and start engaging. This leader will drive engagement and grow follower counts by keeping Raising Cane’s at the forefront of social conversations through the development of innovative social campaigns, timely execution of relevant social trends, and maximizing brand partnerships.
Your Impact and Responsibilities:
- Directs the strategic development of photo, video, and copy-based social content from ideation to execution for all brand channels (Brand, Owner, and Mascot) and social platforms, with a strong emphasis on short-form video
- Leads creative ideation, content capture, and editing of brand activations to ensure the brand remains at the forefront of pop culture through its social media content
- Collaborates with the Social, Brand, and Creative teams and external partners to align on social content pillars, ensuring focus, alignment, and direction throughout the year
- Conceptualizes and develops big ideas to generate viral social moments
- Identifies insights, trends, and opportunities to elevate social content
- Partners with Creative, Social, Marketing Communications, and Insights teams to integrate creative social ideas into broader campaigns, ensuring a cohesive and consistent narrative
- Leads through hands on execution and builds a world-class social creative team by nurturing creative talent and fostering an environment that encourages bold thinking and collaboration
Fosters team development through one-on-one meetings and regular check-ins with team members to support their growth, well-being, and success
Qualifications
- 8+ years of creative experience focused on social media, creative experience focused on social media with a proven track record in a senior creative leadership role within a top-tier agency or in-house team
- A strong, diverse portfolio showcasing recent high-performing, award-winning social media work
- Experience concepting and executing large-scale earned social media stunts, platforms, and campaigns
- Proven ability to capitalize on cultural moments by quickly creating impactful social activations
- Expert knowledge of current social media marketing methodologies and the nuances of various social media platforms
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a passion for pushing the brand forward in an ever-evolving social media landscape
- Experience working in or leading a high-volume in-house studio
- Hands-on experience from concept to production, with a willingness to contribute directly to execution
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro
- Extreme attention to detail, with a strong understanding of design principles and the creative process
- Highly collaborative with the ability to respond professionally to creative direction and constructive feedback
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changing
- Self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Able to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaboratively
- Able to work full-time at the Restaurant Support Office in Plano, TX and travel 30-50%
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field is required
